HGV Technician

We are searching for Motivated, Reliable and Hard-Working HGV Technicians of all levels of competency who will be based from our client’s depot in Lea Green. Please see below for various shift patterns available:


DAYS 4 ON 4 OFF RATES OF PAY:
Level 3/Time served: £18.92 per hour

DAYS 4 ON 4 OFF OVERTIME RATES OF PAY:
Level 3/Time served: £26.02 hour

HOURS OF WORK:

6:00 am – 6:00 pm - Full continental four on four off day shift - (30 mins unpaid lunch)

NIGHTSHIFT RATES OF PAY:
Level 3/Time served: £23.65 per hour

NIGHTS 4 ON 4 OFF OVERTIME RATES OF PAY:
Level 3/Time served: £28.39 hour


Our client is a franchised Scania dealership which has 5 depots throughout the North West of England all operate 24 hours, Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. Their modern facilities include leading-edge vehicle technology and diagnostic equipment, an extensive selection of trucks, trailers, tail lift, fridge units to work on and a structured personal training and development program, tailored to each individual. This depot works solely one customer’s fleet as a VMU and therefore works slightly differently to the usual dealership environment.

The role of HGV Technician will involve:
• Carrying out diagnostics, inspections, service routines, repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner, with the most effective use of your time
• Reporting findings and carrying out all repairs to the current manufacturer’s standards
• Reporting to the shift supervisor
• Investigating and diagnosing faults
• Observing Health and Safety rules
• Liaising with the parts department effectively
