£30,000.00 per annum + c£450.00 bonus paid every 3 months (Profit-Share)
Mon to Fri 8:00am – 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break & 1 in 12 Saturday mornings 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
You MUST have a vehicle or plant rental background
Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established company within the motor trade, that have been in operation almost 70 years and are specialists in commercial vehicle rental. Their customers vary from both trade and retail and they have 4 rental depots, with fully equipped maintenance workshops in the North and South of England; from these depots they operate approximately 2000 vehicles (of which 900 are above 3.5 tons).
Rental Coordinator / Hire Controller Role Overview:
The Rental Coordinator is a very responsible and key position within the company. Training will be provided in the use of all company software systems and associated procedures/processes. Your core responsibilities will be to provide short and long-term Operational/Administration support for the Rental function and you will also be required to provide cover for the Rental Managers in their absence.
Rental Coordinator / Hire Controller Role Function:
• Answering the telephone/emails, dealing with customer enquiries and providing excellent customer service
• Raising rental agreements and termination documents
• Working closely with the Rental Manager and the Depot’s Business Development Manager, ensuring a proactive dynamic approach is taken in maximising all Rental opportunities
• Sourcing additional vehicles from other Depots
• Accurately and comprehensively inputting data on to both manual and computerised systems
• Scanning vehicle compliance paperwork such as MOT certificates across to customers prior to Rental
Required Skills:
• Vehicle or Plant Rental background
• Proficiency to an intermediate level with Microsoft packages: Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent telephone manner, organisational and communication skills
• Sound geographical knowledge of the UK
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-moving and changeable environment and flexibility in your approach, to suit the business needs
